A parking lot is the first thing customers, tenants and staff interact with. When it's half cleared, stalls disappear, traffic flow breaks down and pedestrians end up walking in driving lanes. Parking lot snow removal is about maintaining the lot's capacity and circulation, not just pushing snow to the edge.

Snow placement is a design decision

On most Calgary lots there's a finite amount of space to stack snow, and by February the early decisions show. Piles placed at the wrong corner block visibility at an exit; piles on a low point send meltwater across the lot during a Chinook and leave ice behind when it refreezes. We plan storage locations up front and adjust as the season builds.

Retail plazas and shopping centres, office buildings, medical and professional buildings, industrial yards and warehouse aprons, condo and multi-family visitor parking, and institutional sites. Larger properties are usually best served under a seasonal agreement so coverage is defined before the first event.

Pedestrian access matters as much as pavement

A cleared lot with a snow-packed walkway still isn't accessible. We coordinate lot clearing with sidewalk and entrance clearing so the route from stall to door works end to end.
